About
My name is Roberto De Santi and I'm an Italian Interior and Product Designer with over thirty years of experience built in the field, between Made in Italy craftsmanship and the sensibility of Milanese design. To me, design is first and foremost a tool for telling stories about people, translated into a recognizable stylistic language. Every project is born from the meeting between an idea and the person who will inhabit it.
I'm an eclectic designer by nature. I move with the same curiosity between designing living spaces and designing individual objects, and it's precisely in this constant shift of scale that I find the most interesting solutions — the ones that aren't always obvious at first glance. I believe in an elegance that breaks the mould, where boldness of form is never an end in itself. Design that doesn't serve a purpose, to me, hasn't yet found its reason to exist: functionality remains the fixed point from which every creative freedom begins.
When I work on a project, I like to think of it as a small story shaped in material — something that engages touch and imagination, not just sight. I'm convinced that the objects and spaces we choose to surround ourselves with quietly shape the quality of our everyday lives: a small, often invisible enrichment that I look for in every project.
